Express Entry Immigration

Canada has one of the most liberal immigration policies in the world and welcomes over quarter million immigrants each year. While Canada offers a great choice of both Federal and Provincial immigration programs, immigration to Canada has become increasingly popular due to the Express Entry program. Express Entry applicants receive priority processing and increased accessibility for candidates from a broader range of occupations. Without a cap on the number of applications being accepted for processing, applicants can apply to Express Entry at any time without being concerned that the program will close or fill up before their application is completed.

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class immigration program
  • Federal Skilled Trade Class Immigration Program
  • Canadian Experience Class Immigration Program
  • Provincial Nominee Immigration program from within or outside the Express Entry
    • Job Offer stream
    • International Student stream, and
    • Pilot programs operated by few selected provinces

There are several other programs under the Express Entry program, and they all have different eligibility criteria.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Those who are not qualified under the regular express entry streams, can evaluate their possibilities under the PNP programs offering bit relaxed criteria compared to the express entry.

If you want to immigrate to Canada through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), a Canadian territory or province must nominate you. The province will assess your qualifications and whether you will be able to meet their labour and economic market needs. The Provincial Nominee Program allows Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and are interested in settling in a particular region. The primary purpose of PNP is to spread the benefits of immigration throughout the country.

All PNP programs have different eligibility criteria. 7 Steps Immigration Services can assist you by evaluating your possibilities under different PNP programs and in achieving your immigration goals. Contact us to learn more about these programs.

Investment based immigration

Canadian provinces are always motivated to invite Business Investors, entrepreneurs, and self-employed individuals. The Investor class is point based and confers permanent residence upon applicants who demonstrate an ability to become economically established in Canada based on their business or management experience and personal net worth. Approval is contingent upon the investor undertaking to commit a binding, passive, non-interest-bearing five-year investment in a government guaranteed investment fund. Under applicable programs, applicants can obtain financing and receive legal security on their investment. Under this program, individuals will be assessed based on selection criteria that include experience, education, age, language abilities and adaptability. Sponsoring Dependent Child

Children qualify as dependants if they meet both of these requirements:

  • they’re under 22 years old
  • they don’t have a spouse or common law partner

Children 22 years old or older qualify as dependants if they meet both of these requirements:

  • they are unable to financially support themselves because of a mental or physical condition
  • they have depended on their parents for financial support since before the age of 22.

With the exception of age, your dependent child must continue to meet these requirements until the processing your application is finished

Spousal Sponsorship Immigration

If your want your spouse or partner who is a foreign national to live permanently with you in Canada, 7 Steps Immigration Services can help you apply and bring them to Canada as a permanent resident. Keeping you notified and taking your approval, we will handle all correspondence and communication received from Immigration Canada with regards to your application until a final decision is made by an officer.

To be eligible to sponsor your spouse or partner for permanent residency, you must be:

  • at least 18 years old
  • Living in Canada, or planning to return to Canada once your spouse or partner becomes a permanent resident of Canada
  • Able and willing to provide for the basic financial needs of your spouse or partner for three years

In-Canada Sponsorship Class

If your spouse or partner is living inside Canada, and has a legal immigration status, you should apply under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class (Inland). Under this class, you would be able to apply for an open work permit for your spouse, which will allow your spouse to work in Canada while the application is in process.

Family Class (Outland) Sponsorship Class

You should apply under the Family Class (Outland) sponsorship option if your spouse/partner (i.e. “the applicant”) is living outside of Canada. You may apply under this class if you do not plan to stay in Canada for the duration of the application process
