PR Card New & Renewal:

We can help you in applying for your first PR Card, renew your existing card or expired PR Card, and appeals for residency challenges from abroad:

All the Canadians Permanent Residents), who wish to travel abroad are required to have their Canadian Permanent Resident Cards (PR) to be able to establish their identity at the Port of Entry and to re-enter Canada. The PR Card is generally valid for a five-year period unless issued on special conditions. While applying for the extension or new card, you need to ensure that you have met the residency obligations. We can assist you in the process of obtaining your card for the first time or apply to extend your current one.

  • You may need special counselling prior to applying to extend your PR Card if you have spent a considerable amount of time outside of Canada since landing, especially in the past 5 years.
  • If your card is expiring soon, you must apply to extend your status with care. This can be complicated as you need to meet the residency obligation in order to qualify for PR Card extension.
  • If your card has already expired, and you are outside of Canada, you need to know your rights! You would need to apply and get a Travel Document to re-enter Canada, and at that point the Embassy or Visa Office abroad may make the decision to revoke your Permanent Residence status. It is strongly recommended you consult with us prior to taking any action so you know your rights.
  • You will also want to know if and how an appeal can be made, if you are eligible.

Our qualified and experienced professionals at 7 Steps Immigration Services have guided hundreds of clients in all sort of immigration matters and we will be pleased to assist you with utmost accuracy and sincerity.

Citizenship Application:

Canadian Citizenship is the final step of a long journey you started years ago. After you are approved to come to Canada as a Permanent Resident (landed immigrant) and have lived in Canada for a period of 3 years within the past 5 years, you may qualify to become a Canadian citizen. Those who have lived in Canada prior to their landing date may qualify for a credit of time and shorten their waiting period.

Once you become a full citizen, you are able to vote, hold office and get jobs that are reserved only for citizens, and travel for long periods of time, with the ability to always be able to come home to Canada.

We have assisted numerous people over the years with both simple and complex Citizenship cases and are always delighted when our clients complete their journey to full Canadian Citizenship. We are here to help you and are looking forward to hear from you when you are ready to apply.

Having a Canadian Citizenship gives you a number of benefits and one of our officers at 7 Steps Immigration Services will be pleased to explain you your benefits as a Citizen as well as the process to obtain your Canadian Citizenship.
